Develop your sewing skills, make new friends, and have fun!

Nothing to do before the weekend? Don't want to spend your summer gaming alone? Visit the Forest Park Library and play board game or pick up a Nintendo Switch Joycon and join a Smash tournament. We'll be gaming every Friday this summer!

It's time to start the weekend with some games! We will have a Nintendo Switch running for up to 4 players, board games, cards, and legos available. Light refreshments provided. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 welcome!

On Fridays we will play Mario Kart, Mario Party and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, on our brand new Switch. Bring your own controllers for 2+ multiplayer games. 3-5pm.

Anime Day. Discuss movies and show off your movie trivia knowledge. Teens and Adults 13+.

Join us for Saturday morning cartoons at the library! We will have a cereal bar set up and plenty of comfy chairs.

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop every other Monday. The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods. 

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

Family friendly chess club for kids to come learn and sharpen their skills in a supportive environment.

Join us for our day-time, Open Studio session! You can bring a project to work on, or an idea to bounce off of other makers.

Stop by for an afternoon of crafting fun at the library! We bring the supplies and snacks, you bring the creativity. 

Are you up to the LEGO Challenge? Join other LEGO Questers in building our Challenge of the month, or build your own. Tuesdays, 3-5 pm. Indian Orchard branch. For ages 5 and up. 

Join us to celebrate Summer Reading with a Kickoff party. There will be games, crafts, raffles, and refreshments.

Each week we will have a drop-in project or two based on a theme.

The Musical Petting Zoo is a fun and informative hands-on traveling exhibit of musical instruments. After an introduction to the instruments, participants get a chance to bow a violin, blow a horn or tap out a rhythm on a drum.

Join Meg as we do a different craft every week on Wednesday afternoons. Tissue Paper Painting, Watercolor painting, finger painting, and floral book marks are some of the crafts we will be exploring.

Come celebrate the beginning of summer and our annual summer reading program! There will be refreshments, kids' crafts and activities, music, and a special guest salsa dance lesson taught by Roshay's Latin Dance Classes!  

Join us at parks around Springfield to discover local birds and our city's beautiful places to view them.

We supply the artist-quality crayons, pencils and pens and coloring pages, to spark your creativity. Just drop by The Homework Center and color your stress away. For tweens and teens. 

Discover your summer and celebrate the start of Summer Reading at the Forest Park Library.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!
